Our scenario went through many changes throughout the process, as we became more focused and more detailed.

Final Scenario

Johannes is on traveling for business. He is staying at a hotel in Seattle. It's morning and he has 25 minutes before he need to attend a meeting. He believes this is enough time for him to get his morning coffee. Not happy with the quality of the hotel coffee, and its inflated price, he leaves the hotel.

As someone who doesn’t like to ask for directions, Johannes uses his GoCoffee service to find coffee shops often. He has been to Seattle before and remembers that there is coffee shop that he has been to before near his hotel (he previously stayed at the same hotel). He has an idea where it is, but doesn’t remember exactly.

He navigates to the GoCoffee service and immediately sees the best quality coffee shops listed. At the top is a shop that he previously rated as indicatd by five blue coffee cups. He believes this is the shop he visited before. It's 0.1 miles away. He selects the name to see more information, including a photo of the shop. That's the place, he recalls. He navigates to the map screen to orient himself, then quickly checks the directions screen. It's nearby and the directions are simple, so he pockets his phone and heads toward the shop.

On his way, Johannes runs into construction and is blocked from getting to the coffee shop. He doesn’t know any other way to get there and is racing against the clock, so he opens his phone again to the GoCoffee service and sees a red 5-cup shop, indicating that he has not been there before but the shop has been rated by other GoCoffee users. The shop is 0.2 miles away, so he selects the shop and views the photo. It looks nice, he decides. He navigates to the map screen, then pockets his phone again.

He successfully finds the shop and buys a cup of coffee to go. Johannes is extremely pleased with the service at this coffee shop and the quality of the cup he received.

Happy with the good start to his day, Johannes decides to rate the coffee shop. He opens his phone, navigates to GoCoffee. He selects the coffee shop and then selects Rate It. He then gives the coffee shop a personal rating of 5-cups. His rating contributes to the overall GoCoffee service rating, and his own rating is logged in blue cups so that when he comes back to Seattle, he can see the good experience he had.
